Background

This was the first client I have worked with in my internship at Boosted. The client already had an idea of what they wanted.

They wanted a cartoon version of themselves similar to the reference they've sent and with the word "DIFFERENT" but with the "E" reversed and in similar font.

Sketches

I did 3 sketches. My thinking was to give some movement to the design, rather than having it static. The first 2 were more close to the references and the 3rd was experimental. 

The client chose design 2.

Iterations Round 1

The client wanted to add DNA strands and electricity to their design. These were the variations I came up with. 

Iterations Round 2

The client wanted to change the pose to the same one as the reference image from earlier. They loved the electricity. I also went and made 2 different version of how the electricity was going to look like.

The client then wanted the electricity to be behind the text, have the DNA strands be vertical next to her, and have the electricity go to it. I edited the illustration so it was more close to the reference image, and the client wanted the clothes colors to be changed to red and white, with the shoes being multicolored.
